Greetings basketball fans! My name is René Ponce (a.k.a. Flashman) and I am the team photographer (and die-hard fan!) for the five-time California State Champion Ventura College Women's Basketball team. I have had the privilege of following the Pirates for the past eleven years, chronicling memorable moments on film. On this site are many action photos from the past several seasons, and various other links relating to VC Pirate Women's Basketball. I created this site to pay tribute to Head Coach Ned Mircetic and all of the players, coaches, and support personnel who have contributed to make the women's basketball program at VC such a huge success.
